I believe currently the best you can do as an Atari 8bit on the Mac is
1) Run SoftWindows (286/Windows-smart emulator for Macs) and then run PC XFormer 2.0 (Atari 800 emulator for 286′s) under it
2) Run SoftWindows and then run GEMulator (Atari ST emulator for PC’s.. wait.. that might not run under 286, I can’t remember) under it, and THEN, run ST XFormer (Atari XL emulator for ST’s) under it (WHEW!)
or 3) Run MacX (X Windows emulator for Macs) and then see if you can get a copy of the Atari 8bit emulator for X Windows
