xtrs version 2.0

You can now get xtrs version 2.0, a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I/III/4
emulator for Unix and the X Window System, from my TRS-80 Web page:

  http://www.research.digital.com/SRC/personal/Tim_Mann/trs80.html

I’ve added several major features to the original xtrs 1.0 by David
Gingold and Alec Wolman.  The original xtrs emulated a Model I with
cassette, 48KB of memory, and an uppercase-only display.  xtrs 2.0 can
emulate either a Model I, Model III, Model 4, or Model 4P, and it
includes lower case, the real time clock, crude sound support (Linux
only), emulated 5" and 8" floppy disk drives, and even emulated hard
disk drives.  Unlike most Model I emulators, xtrs 2.0 supports double
sided, double density floppies, emulating both the Percom and Radio
Shack Doubler.  The emulated floppy and hard disk file formats are
compatible with the popular MSDOS-based emulators by Jeff Vavasour and
Matthew Reed.  Under Linux, physical floppy disk drives are also
supported.  The user interface is a bit spartan, but it gets the job
done.

[By the way, the comp.emulators.misc FAQ is quite outdated on TRS-80
emulators.  The best emulators for MSDOS are not listed: the fine
Model III/4 emulator by Jeff Vavasour (available commercially from
Computer News 80, http://www.computernews80.com) and the fine Model
I/III and Model 4 emulators by Matthew Reed (available as shareware
from http://www.arrowweb.com/mkr/).  Also, Jeff’s Model I emulator is
now up to the "e" version, not "d", and it is now free, no longer
shareware.]

Super Sprint

I remember what great fun this game was, well I sold my ST years ago,
but now I have the ST editor and would like to have the greatest game
back.
Anyone knows where to find it?

C64 game index page updated

My C64 game index pages found at:

http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/3468/c64index.htm

have been extensively updated and are now a lot easier and quicker to
use, drop by to see what you think.

My page also contains some news about Gamebase 64 the CCS64 emulator
front-end from James Burrows, shortly due it’s first public release
(June 1st if all goes according to plan). It really is an excellent
program and will improve the nostalgic feeling of C64 game playing.
One of the nice features of GB is that it allows you to keep all the
games in zips or lhas and will convert zipcoded and lnx files on the
fly to d64s.

Looking for some Callus roms

I am looking for the Area88 and Street fighter II (japanese) romsets
for Callus 0.30.
If anyone know a URL where I might download these specific romsets,
could you post it, please!
And don’t bother with just saying "try looking at Dave’s", that was
naturally where I started my search.
In fact http://www.conn-x.com/callus/ was the site I found, where they
had the largest number of Callus roms. They had ‘em all, except for
the two I mentioned above.

Thanks In Advance.

BBC Econet

Does anyone know if you can connect a BBC using Econet to the PC and use an
are on the hard disk as though it was an Econet fileserver.

Surely there must be some way to do this.

You, be cool!
